Frame structure

A pair of eyeglass frames usually consists of a main part such as a front rim, nose pads, wires and pile heads and a temples. In addition to the above components, there are temple tips( foot covers), rimlock and its screws, hinges and their screws and the other.

1. Front rim (frame): The position of the lens is assembled with metal wire, nylon wire,nose pads and screws. The lens is fixed by grooves or holes, which affects the cutting of the lens and the shape of the glasses.

2.nose bridge: connect the left and right rims or directly connected to the lens, the nose bridge is placed directly on the nose, but also supported by the stipules(nose pads) on the nose.

3.nose pads: including the wire, the pipe and the stipule, the stipules directly contact with the nose, play the role of support and stability of the frame. Some cast plastic frames may be devoid of wire and cupolas, and the stipules are attached to the front frame.

4.Endpiece: The joint between the front frame and the temple is generally curved.

5.the temples: the arms of frame on the ears, can be active, connected to the endipeice(pile head) by hinges, plays a role of a stablize the front frame.

6. Hinge: A joint that connects the endpiece(pile head) and the temple.

7. Rimlock: Tighten the screws to rimlock on both sides of the opening of the front frame to fix the lens.
